Privacy policy

Last updated: 2 November 2026

This policy explains what information this website collects, why, and what happens to it. We have tried to write it in plain words.

Who runs this website

This website is run by Bluebells Florist of Pontypridd, The Bluebell Cottage, 59 Wood Road, Pontypridd CF37 1RH. You can email us at wendy728@btinternet.com. Our current contact details are always on our contact page.

Messages you send us

When you use a form on this website, such as the contact form or the forms on our funeral, wedding and event pages, we collect what you type into it: your name, your email address, your phone number if you give it, your message, and the answers to the questions on that form (for example the date of a funeral or a wedding, the venue, the kind of flowers and the words for a card). On the wedding and event forms you can also add photos.

We use this only to reply to you and to arrange the flowers you ask about. Your message is stored on this website and emailed to us. Photos are stored privately and are never shown on the website. We keep your message until we delete it.

Orders from our shop

When you buy flowers through our online shop, we collect your name, email address and phone number, the delivery address (usually the address of the person you are sending flowers to), the delivery day you choose, your card message and what you ordered. We keep this on the website so we can make and deliver your order and send you a receipt.

Payment is taken by Stripe and goes into our own Stripe account. Your card details are entered on Stripe’s own secure page and are seen only by Stripe, never by us or this website.

Who looks after the website

This website is hosted for us in the United Kingdom by British Web Design, who process this information on our behalf. They also deliver the website’s emails, and they receive the website’s error reports so that they can fix faults. An error report can include a visitor’s IP address and what they typed into a form at the time.

Stopping spam

Our forms are checked by Google reCAPTCHA to stop spam. It loads with the page, before any choice about cookies, and lets Google see your IP address and information about your browser.

The map

The map at the foot of each page is shown by Google Maps. Google sees your IP address when it loads and may set cookies of its own.

Cookies

This website sets a session cookie, which remembers things like your basket as you move from page to page, and a security cookie that protects the forms. Every visitor needs these for the website to work.

The website keeps no visitor statistics of its own. If we switch on Google Analytics or advertising tags (such as Google Ads or the Meta Pixel) in future, a banner will ask you first, and nothing of that kind is set until you accept. Your answer is remembered in your browser.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law (UK GDPR) you can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it or delete it, and object to how we use it. To do any of these, email us at the address above. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
